Belarus claim seven medals at 2025 European Wrestling Championships

Belarusian athletes won seven medals at the 2025 European Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, BelTA has learned.

The tournament in Bratislava featured more than 450 athletes who competed in 30 medal events. The Belarusian team comprised 26 wrestlers, seven of whom won one gold, one silver and five bronze medals for the country. Alina Shauchuk secured a champion title in the women’s 68kg. Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau won silver in the men’s freestyle 86kg. 

Bronze medals were secured by Natallia Varakina (50kg), Anastasiya Zimiankova (76kg), Aryan Tsiutryn (57kg), Dzianis Khramiankou (125kg), and Kiryl Maskevich (97kg, Greco-Roman). Belarus claimed seven (2, 1, 4) medals at the 2024 European Wrestling Championships in Romania.
