Victoria Azarenka of Belarus has reached the Qatar Open quarterfinal cruising past Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko, 6-0, 6-3, in 1 hour and 28 minutes, BelTA has learned

The Belarusian will next face world number one Iga Swiatek of Poland.
Victoria Azarenka beat Poland’s Magdalena Frech, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, in the opener and then proved stronger against China’s Wang Xinyu, 7-6 (7-2), 6-2.
Iga Swiatek was the winner of the previous two editions. Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus won the tournament in 2020. The ongoing event in Doha will be over on 17 February.
