35 medals for Team Belarus at Commonwealth Waterski Cup in Russia

Team Belarus won 35 awards at the second leg of the Commonwealth Waterski Cup in Brekhovo near Moscow, BelTA has learned.

On the final day of the tournament, Team Belarus took the entire podium in the men's figure skiing. Vasily Mazurkevich came in first, Stepan Melnik was second and Aleksandr Mikhailov - third. In the women's figure skiing the winner was Belarusian Maria Belyakova. Sofia Gvozdeva of Belarus won a silver medal.
All in all, Team Belarus team has claimed 15 gold, 13 silver and 7 bronze medals. After two legs of the Commonwealth Water Skiing Cup, Vasily Mazurkevich (46 points) is in the lead in the all-around, Stepan Melnik (33) goes second, and Russian Kirill Sinitsyn (25) - third. In women's circuit, Belarusians Elena Parkhomenko (46), Sofia Gvozdeva (36) and Maria Belskaya (30) hold the top three positions. The third and final leg of the Commonwealth Waterski Cup will be held in Zaslavl, Belarus on 24-27 August.
