In this December, a joint project of Belarus and Russia – the comedy "Olivier salad" will be released. Leading actors of the two countries will play the main roles in the film, the National Film Studio Belarusfilm reported, BelTA reports.

Now the film is being shot in Moscow and Minsk. Leading Russian actors Sergey Shakurov, Irina Pegova and Stanislav Duzhnikov will play the main roles in the film. The actor's structure also includes graduates of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.

The plot of the film "Olivier" describes about the life of a once friendly family. On the eve of the New Year, ten people gather at the family table to express their grievances to each other.
"It is not just a New Year's story about a common family preparing to celebrate the New Year. “Olivier salad” will tell about the importance of family, about the need to find the right words and hear close people in time," the authors of the project said. Belarusian producer Igor Chetverikov and Russian film director Andrey Nikiforov are engaged in the production of a new film "Olivier salad" in the form of a game.
According to Nikiforov, the audience will face with some kind of surprise:
- There is one supermove here, which no one has done yet. In addition to the scenes of the feast, conversations, there will be special inserts in the genre of stand-up, in different styles – such an innovative move. It is a comedy, but, as in any good comedy, you will have time to think and to be sad. We focus on the best Soviet films–" the director said.
The main team of the filming process are Belarusians: Belarusfilm employees and people involved in the project. A team of seven people arrived from the Russian side.
"Cinema is a thing that gives the opportunity to travel, integrate, not only to communicate with people, but also to learn from experience. We has had the opportunity to work with Belarus and not just with some commercial company, but directly at the state level with Belarusfilm," said co-producer Egor Shorokhov.
He explained that an analysis which showed a high probability of commercially success was carried out.
"We are negotiating with all major Internet platforms. It will be a wide cinema rental in the entire CIS, it is also supposed to realize the rights in the whole world," Egor Shorokhov said.
