Slavianski Bazaar flag raised in Vitebsk

Adilkhan Makin and Ksenia Galetskaya, Grand Prix winners of the 2019 Vitebsk Song Contest and the Junior Song Contest respectively, raised the flag of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk in an official ceremony in Vitebsk on 16 July, BelTA has learned.

Gleb Lapitsky, director general of the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, said that the festival will run an intensive program. “Today, the symbol of the Slavianski Bazaar is flying next to the flags of the 23 participating countries,” the director said.

The ceremony near the Summer Amphitheater also featured a performance by the Koleso theater, an autoshow and a Brazilian samba from Raccoon Batucada.

The Summer Amphitheater will host the grand opening of the 29th International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk on 16 July. A new star will be soon unveiled in the square near the Summer Amphitheater. This year's winner of the Belarusian president's special “Through Art to Peace and Understanding” is Filipp Kirkorov.

The 29th edition of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will take place on 16-19 July. The major events of the festival will be the international contest of popular song performers Vitebsk 2020 and the international children's music contest Vitebsk 2020.
