Rotterdam to return as Eurovision host city in 2021

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has confirmed that the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will be hosted by Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This information was revealed during the special show “Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light”, TASS reports.

The EBU showed a video with the logo “Eurovision Song Contest. Rotterdam 2021”.

According to the official website of the contest, the event will be held at the Ahoy Arena. The dates for the semifinals and the final will be released later. So far, 18 of 41 artists planned for 2020 have confirmed that they will represent their country again in 2021.

BelTA reported earlier that Eurovision was set to be held in Rotterdam on 12-16 May 2020 under the slogan “Open Up”. However, the song contest was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, a special show featuring participants of various editions of the contest took place on 16 May.
