The official said: “All our partners very much regret the lack of face-to-face contacts due to a number of circumstances. We look forward to resuming face-to-face meetings and hope we will be able to return to this format of communication in autumn. We've already received a number of letters from our Chinese partners, including from Chinese government agencies, about expos in China. German partners are also lobbying the government for the organization of expos in Germany in autumn. So, we may resume face-to-face events by autumn.”
Vladimir Ulakhovich also said that the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry actively works online. “We arrange many virtual forums and meetings with various chambers of commerce. We've already had a major business forum with Ukrainian partners. Certainly it was a virtual one but it gathered 200 enterprises. Apart from that, a forum with Chinese partners will take place on 17 June. A Belarusian-Turkish online forum involving embassies of the two countries is scheduled for 24 June. A forum with Italian partners and with the participation of the two diplomatic missions will take place on 30 June. In fact we have not suspended our work. Our virtual work goes on on a daily basis: three streams will be held this week, the first virtual expo of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus #AgroFood will open tomorrow,” the chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.
