Belarus to build more all-electric homes

Belarus is going to build more homes, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Kukharev said at a session of the Architecture and Construction Ministry, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.

“The head of state set a task to intensify residential construction in the country. This matter is now under discussion at the Economy Ministry and the Finance Ministry. More focus should be placed on rental homes and all-electric homes. We should start working on such projects today,” Vladimir Kukharev said.
The vice premier noted that development companies will have a lot of work to do and urged them to waste no time.
He also instructed the Architecture and Construction Ministry and affiliated companies to take measures to increase the export of construction serves.
A reminder, this year Belarus is set to commission 4 million square meters of housing, of which 984,130 square meters were subsidized by the state. The government set a task to commission 135,000 square meters of rental homes in 2020 and at least 250,000 square meters of such homes in 2021.
Belarus will gradually increase the construction of all-electric homes. In line with the resolution of the Council of Ministers, some 135,000 square meters of such housing will be commissioned in 2020. At least 270,000 square meters of such housing are to be built in 2021.
