A telephone conversation between the presidents of Belarus and Russia took place on 31 December at the initiative of the Russian side.
Vladimir Putin extended New Year greetings to Aleksandr Lukashenko.
In continuation of yesterday's conversation, the heads of state discussed the issue of hydrocarbon supplies, paying special attention to the supplies of oil to Belarus.
