PM gives details about election of Presidium of Belarusian People’s Congress

Belarus’ Prime Minister, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the first meeting of the Belarusian People’s Congress Roman Golovchenko told the Belarus 1 TV channel about the nuances of the upcoming election of the Presidium of the Belarusian People’s Congress, BelTA has leanred.

Roman Golovchenko recalled that the chair of the Belarusian People’s Congress, the deputy chair and the Presidium will be chosen by the delegates themselves.

“Of course, these candidacies will be discussed by delegates. In total, about nine voting places will be arranged. They will be located right in the foyer of the Palace of the Republic,” Roman Golovchenko said answering the question about the secret ballot.

According to him, ballots will be handed over to every delegate. “Ballots for them [candidates] will be printed out right there, in a special hall of the Palace of the Republic,” he said. “If you want to place cameras nearby - not in the booths, but next to them - we will be happy to provide them,” the chairman of the organizing committee noted.
