Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “I told you that everyone will stop working while we should slowly and carefully make our own products in order to sell them later [to foreign markets].”
He drew attention to the situation evolving at OAO Belaruskali. “I am told that [Belaruskali Director General Ivan] Golovaty is having problems with production today. The markets have opened and products can be sold. As far as I know, some of your employees have started grumbling that there is too much work,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted. “On my part, I am happy that the potash company has a lot of work and that some people in one country of the world complain about too much work.”
“People all over the world are complaining about the lack of work and the lack of money to buy food. Do you remember me asking you what we are going to eat once the pandemic is over? I put it in rough terms so that you would remember it. So, that prediction has come true as people say,” the head of state concluded.
