Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Tajikistan president

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko extended greetings to Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Belarusians have a high regard for your country, which harmoniously combines special attention to the rich cultural heritage and aspiration for the future. Over the years of independence, Tajikistan has achieved impressive successes in the social and economic sector, ensuring national security, strengthening equal and mutually beneficial cooperation in the international arena,” the message of greetings reads.

“I highly appreciate our long-standing trustful dialogue and hope for its continuation in the atmosphere of friendship and understanding. I am deeply convinced that the Belarus-Tajikistan partnership based on the joint historical past will continue to develop,” the president of Belarus said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Emomali Rahmon strong health and wellbeing, as well as stability, peace and prosperity to all citizens of Tajikistan.
