Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Azerbaijan

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and all people of Azerbaijan as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA has learned.

“Your country has approached its main holiday with impressive economic results and successes in the international arena that were achieved thanks to your consistent efforts to build an independent, sovereign state,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.

“I cherish the memories of my recent visit to the friendly nation of Azerbaijan, during which we discussed a wide range of important issues in a trusting and constructive manner,” the head of state noted. “The results of substantive negotiations reaffirmed the high level of strategic partnership and demonstrated the significant potential of multifaceted interaction between Minsk and Baku.”

The president of Belarus wished Ilham Aliyev and his family good health, happiness and prosperity, and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan peace and prosperity.
