Belarusian ambassador presents credentials to president of Botswana

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to South Africa with concurrent accreditation to Botswana Igor Bely has presented his credentials to President Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi of Botswana, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Botswana head of state and the ambassador discussed the development of institutional mechanisms to boost relations between the countries, and the intensification of bilateral contacts at the supreme and highest levels.

Special attention was paid to the economic aspects of bilateral cooperation. In particular, the parties discussed the implementation of specific projects in Botswana with the support of Belarusian enterprises in mechanization of agriculture and mining of minerals, ensuring the country’s food security, and the development of cooperation in education.

Igor Bely became the first Belarusian diplomat accredited in this African country.
