Aleinik, Mezentsev discuss Belarus-Russia integration within Union State

Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Dmitry Mezentsev on 22 April to exchange views on the topical issues related to the Belarusian-Russian integration in the format of the Union State, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties took stock of the progress made in the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme State Council made following the meeting in St Petersburg on 29 January 2024, the upcoming celebration of the 80th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from Nazi invaders and the 25th anniversary of the Union State Treaty.

They also discussed cooperation with international organizations.

Within the framework of the Union State project, the parties talked over the schedule of the upcoming events of the Union State bodies in 2024, the establishment of the Union State media company, the participation in the Slavianski Bazaar festival and the Kupalye (Alexandria Gathers Friends) festival.
