Belarus seeks to take part in Russia's national projects

Belarus is discussing participation in Russia's national projects, Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik told journalists during the event “For Belarus!” that was held in the the Business and Cultural Complex of the Embassy of Belarus in Moscow on 15 January, BelTA has learned.

“Today we are discussing with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation the participation of Belarus in the national projects implemented in Russia. We all understand that we should not compete, but complement each other. This is the raison d'être of the Union State,” said Aleksandr Rogozhnik.

He noted that in 2024 the trade between Belarus and Russia rose by 5%, and Belarus maintains a trade surplus. The ambassador recalled that the two countries are running 27 major investment projects aimed at boosting their technological independence in aircraft manufacturing, microelectronics, machine tool manufacturing, shipbuilding and others.
