PHOTOfact: Belarusian media got acquainted with the work of the Logoisk forestry

On the previous day, as part of the press tour "Women’s view on forestry: visiting the best forester in the Minsk region Tatiana Kolesnik", Belarusian media visited the Logoisk forestry, where they got acquainted with the internal processes of the industry.
The forestry is 67 km long from north to south and 55 km long from west to east.
The total area of forests under the management of the Logoisk forestry is 115.2 thousand hectares, including 106.6 thousand hectares of forested land.

The production structure of the enterprise consists of 11 forestry companies, a production workshop "Pleschechenitsy", a forest station and a forest nursery.
The woodlot is dominated by coniferous plantations (72.5%), predominantly represented by pine trees (51.8%), softwood plantations (26.3%) are mainly represented by birch trees (19.6%), aspen(3.3%) and black alder (3.1%) plantations. Hardwood plantings cover 0.6% of the total forest-covered area of the forest estate and are mainly oak plantings.
