Over 4.8m tonnes of sugar beet harvested in Belarus

Belarus has harvested 4,805,400 tonnes of sugar beet, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 14 November, Belarus harvested 9,442,100 tonnes of grain, including rapeseed.

Corn was harvested from 242,300 hectares of land. Some 2,008,800 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 82.9 centners per hectare. Some 22,823,300 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

Belarus removed 4,805,400 tonnes of sugar beet from 98,700 hectares, with the yields standing at 487 centners per hectare.

Belarus harvested a total of 181,200 tonnes of vegetables. The yield is 317.4 centners per hectare.

Some 9,259,500 tonnes of grass was cropped, which is 95.8% of the target.
