Belarus, Russia to strengthen cooperation in energy saving, energy management

The Energy Efficiency Department represented by Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian State Committee for Standardization, Director of the Energy Efficiency Department Vitaly Kretsky, and the Russian Energy Agency of the Russian Ministry of Energy, represented by Deputy Director General Aleksei Konev, signed a memorandum of cooperation on the sidelines of the 28th Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum in Minsk, BelTA has learned. 

As it was noted, the purpose of the document is to promote cooperation, to develop and support initiatives and projects in energy conservation, energy efficiency, energy management and renewables.
The parties are set to strengthen interaction at the institutional level, share best practices, develop and support joint initiatives in the field of energy conservation, energy efficiency, energy management and the use of renewable energy at the interstate, regional and other levels, and to provide assistance in conducting research and implementing projects in these areas in Belarus and Russia.
