"For about two years, the BUCE has been fruitfully cooperating with the Russian Export Center to attract small and medium-sized businesses from various regions of Russia to exchange trading. This incldues not just information support, but tangible assistance in organizing business events, meetings and visits. We, in turn, simplify the entry of Russian business into the Belarusian market and provide opportunities for the export of goods produced in Russia to third countries. I am sure that the memorandum will give an additional impetus to our cooperation and will enable us to more effectively solve the tasks we face," Aleksandr Osmolovsky said.
The memorandum defines the main goals, areas and forms of cooperation between BUCE and the REC for the near and long term. The parties, in particular, plan to promote export-oriented projects, to provide assistance in finding foreign companies to organize the supply of important commodity items for the domestic market to Russia and Belarus.
In addition, BUCE and the REC intend to exchange marketing and regulatory information related to foreign trade activities, and help each other in holding exhibitions, fairs, business, educational and other events that contribute to the Belarusian-Russian trade and economic relations and strengthen the positive image of the products of the two countries.
As of 1 October, 4,078 business entities from Russia were accredited at BUCE, including six stock brokers. The number of Russian participants in exchange trading rose by 17% over last year.
