Belarus' vegetable harvest reaches 179,000 tonnes

Belarus has harvested a total of 179,000 tonnes of vegetables, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 13 November, Belarus harvested 9,434,100 tonnes of grain, including rapeseed. Corn was harvested from 241,400 hectares of land. Some 2,000,800 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 82.9 centners per hectare. Some 22,815,700 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

Belarus removed 4,748,300 tonnes of sugar beet from 97,700 hectares, with the yields standing at 485.9 centners per hectare.

Belarus harvested a total of 178,900 tonnes of vegetables. The yield is 315.3 centners per hectare

Some 9,252,700 tonnes of grass was cropped, which is 95.7% of the target.
