Belarus President's fund to allocate over Br1m to support talented youth

Belarusian head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed an executive order to approve the decision of the council of the Belarus President's fund to provide social support to talented students, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Under the document, the fund's scholarships have been awarded to 199 students and cadets of higher education institutions. The winners of the 16th International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science and the International Students' Olympiad in Informatics and Programming (2019) were awarded monetary prizes or incentive scholarships with the awarding of the Fund's badge. The winners of the International Students Olympiad in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (2019), the Union State Students Olympiad "Russia and Belarus: Historical and Spiritual Unity" (2019) and the 21st National Tournament of Young Mathematicians have received monetary prizes. In total, over Br1 million has been allocated for these purposes.

The presidential decree aims to provide targeted state support to talented students, create favorable conditions for the further development of their abilities and successful studies.
