Minsk National Airport asks passengers to adhere to the protocol of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) amid the COVID-19 pandemic, learned from the press service of the airport, BelTA reported.

Passengers are asked to use protective masks immediately after entering the terminal and before leaving the airport, to stick to other preventive measures such as meticulous hand hygiene, physical distancing of 1.5m, respiratory etiquette. Contact with any surfaces at the airport should be restricted. The press service noted that temperature screening is carried out at the entrance to the airport building in the morning and in the evening.

To avoid unnecessary contact, people welcoming and seeing off air passengers are asked not to enter the terminal building and to use meet and greet areas outside the airport terminal.

“Compliance with the EASA and ECDC protocol will minimize the risk of the spread of COVID-19 and, as a result, accelerate the resumption of flights. Persons who do not comply with the above-mentioned measures may be denied access to the airport terminal,” the press service added.

The protocol envisages that access to the terminal should be provided only to passengers, crew members and staff. Accompanied persons can access the terminal only in special circumstances (accompanying or meeting passengers with disabilities, unaccompanied children, elderly people). Airports should ensure physical distancing and enhance cleaning and disinfection activities. Temperature screening should be carried out at the entrance to the terminal. Passengers with elevated skin temperature should be referred to secondary assessment by a health professional.
