Belarusian MTZ to supply 300 tractors to Russia's Chelyabinsk Oblast

The Belarusian tractor manufacturer MTZ will supply 300 tractors to Russia's Chelyabinsk Oblast in 2023, BelTA learned from the company's press service.

The corresponding agreement was signed by MTZ Director General Vitaly Vovk and Minister of Agriculture of the Russian region Aleksei Kobylin as the Belarusian company hosted Deputy Governor of Chelyabinsk Oblast Yegor Kovalchuk.

According to the document, MTZ shall organize pre-sale, warranty and post-warranty service and set up warehouses of spare parts.

The regional ministry of agriculture, in turn, shall continue to provide state support to farmers through subsidies to reimburse part of the costs of purchased equipment and facilitate the development of business providing agricultural maintenance services.

The press service noted that the share of BELARUS tractors in the Chelyabinsk Oblast agricultural fleet is about 55%.

Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) was established on 29 May 1946. It was reincorporated into a holding company in August 2014. MTZ is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines not only in the CIS states but the entire world. MTZ employs over 16,000 people. Customers are offered over 100 tractor models in more than 200 modifications for all climatic and operational conditions. New models boast great capabilities with regard to the aggregation of agricultural machines of various manufacturers. The public joint-stock company (OAO) MTZ designs, makes, and exports wheel tractors and spare parts, licenses their production abroad, organizes and offers aftersales service for sold vehicles, and offers personnel training with regard to operation and maintenance of the vehicles the company makes.
