Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

Vladimir Putin informed his counterpart that he had to self-isolate for a certain period of time after members of his entourage had been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Consequently, the President of Russia will take part in the meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO), meeting of the Council of Heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Member States, and in the joint meeting of Heads of the CSTO and SCO member states, scheduled to be held this week in Dushanbe, via videoconference.

The discussion also touched upon certain topical aspects of bilateral relations and the situation linked with developments in Afghanistan.
