Putin invites EAEU countries for joint manufacturing of coronavirus vaccine

Russian President Vladimir Putin invited the EAEU countries for the joint manufacturing of the coronavirus vaccine as he spoke at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, BelTA has learned.

“The EAEU states promptly established effective cooperation in the fight against coronavirus. We are working now to supply the Russian vaccine Sputnik V to the countries of the union. By the way, we have already registered the second vaccine – EpiVacCorona. Another one is in the final stage of trials. Of course, we would like all partners of the union to take part in scientific and clinical trials of the Russian vaccine, joint production,” Vladimir Putin said.

The Russian leader noted that the integration processes in the EAEU continue to develop successfully. According to him, this is evidenced by a well-prepared package of decisions and agreements. “I am convinced that they will help us to further enhance cooperation in trade, investment, finance, industry, energy and other areas,” Vladimir Putin said.
