“If the SCO and the CSTO hold a consolidated position, we will cope with this situation. We will help the Afghan people to overcome all these challenges and difficulties. But if everyone tries to act in their own way, then there will be trouble. it's not just Afghanistan. The situation is difficult in the neighboring states, in the Middle East. All this radicalism has, unfortunately, the objective foundations and reasons today," the Belarusian leader said. “The leading Western states got involved in there, made the situation even worse than it was. They gave rise to even more radicalism. Who is to blame? They are."
"Partly, maybe we are too. Because we thought that this would not affect us. But , as it tuns out, this will affect all," Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
He asked the diplomat his opinion of the situation in the Central Asian region.
For his part, Mahmadsharif Haqdod stressed that the Belarusian president is always welcome in Tajikistan which will host the CSTO and SCO summits in mid-September. Their agenda will highlight the issues that are of concern to the entire international community, and above all, the situation in Afghanistan. "I am grateful for your attention to this issue. I know that you are focused on security issues not only in the CIS but in the world. You have your own view on these problems," the diplomat said.
