Lukashenko confers major general rank on police officers, new NOC president

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decrees to award special and military ranks on 1 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

Major general military rank was awarded to Colonels Vladimir Kupriyanyuk, Nikolai Karpenkov, Dmitry Shakhrayev, and Andrei Pavlyuchenko. Viktor Lukashenko attained the rank of major general in reserve.

The special rank of major general of police was conferred on Colonel Gennady Kazakevich.
