Lukashenko appoints new Supreme Court judge

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 331 “On the appointment and dismissal of judges” on 7 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Pavel Korshunov, a former chairperson and judge of the Minsk City Court, has been appointed a Supreme Court judge. Tatyana Tupik, who worked as the deputy chairperson of the Minsk City Court, became the chairperson of this court. Igor Stefanovsky was appointed the deputy chairperson of the Vitebsk Oblast Court.

In accordance with the decree, the head of state also appointed and dismissed a number of judges and heads of various courts in Belarusian regions.

The president also signed Decree No. 332 “On the assignment of qualification classes to judges”.
