Lavrov: Russia, Belarus know how to fully resume transport communication

Russia and Belarus understand how to achieve full resumption of transport communication between the two countries, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters following his talks with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei in Moscow on 2 September, BelTA has learned.

“We discussed prospects of resuming transport services between our countries. This matter was examined in detail by appropriate agencies yesterday. There is an understanding of how to gradually move towards a complete restoration of transport services observing all precautions,” Sergei Lavrov said.

In late March Russia suspended transport communication with all the countries, including Belarus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
