There is a possibility for wider advancement of Belarusian construction services to Russia, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he visited MAPID, Minsk Housing Construction Company, on 18 September, BelTA has learned.

According to the head of state, the Russian Federation has been actively implementing various projects and Belarusian builders can be in high demand there. The topic was also discussed at the recent meeting of Aleksandr Lukashenko with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

One of the biggest projects is the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia's Amur Oblast. “This is a very good project and is very important for them. They are ready to pay any money. This is a perspective for us,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The head of state was informed that MAPID aims to expand its presence on the Russian market. A contract has been signed to build 10 residential houses with the total area of 70,000 square meters in Obninsk, Kaluga Oblast. Talks are underway to build a Belarusian neighborhood in Nizhny Novgorod.
