Belarusian foreign minister meets with Russian ambassador

Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei held a scheduled meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev on 18 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties exchanged opinions about the post-election situation in Belarus, the press service noted.
“The parties discussed the matters of bilateral cooperation, including the preparation for the 7th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia and for a joint session of the foreign affairs ministries of the two countries and the schedule of contacts within international organizations,” the press service said.
