Khandoshka wins first medal for Belarus at BRICS Games

Vasilina Khandoshka of Belarus has won silver in synchronized swimming at the BRICS Games 2024 in Kazan, Russia, BelTA has learned.

Vasilina Khandoshka, the 2024 World Aquatics Championships medalist, scored 296.4750 points to place second in the technical program. Gold went to three-time Olympic champion and 16-time world champion from Russia Svetlana Kolesnichenko (313.6900). Diana Onkes from Uzbekistan collected bronze.

Next, the Aquatics Palace will host technical duet and acrobatic events. Belarusian athletes will take part in both finals. The 13 June program will also include medal events in sambo, artistic gymnastics, weightlifting and wushu.
