The CSTO Joint Staff has come up with ways to organize joint exercises if this year's epidemic situation happens again in 2021, Anatoly Sidorov said.
Participants of the session were informed about working meetings of representatives of medical services of the defense ministries of the CSTO member states. The defense ministries constantly monitor the sanitary and epidemic situation in the course of their daily operation, in the course of combat training, including the joint training of troops (collective forces) of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. It is necessary to further develop medical support for joint training events and the deployment of CSTO troops, Anatoly Sidorov said.
Members of the CSTO Military Committee backed the proposal to hold meetings of heads of medical services of the defense ministries of the CSTO member states every year in order to jointly resolve medical support problems and work together to respond to epidemic security threats.
