The meeting was attended by representatives of the Defense Ministries of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan. The parties discussed the development of a long-term plan of the main events until 2030 and the preparations to imperilment the plan of events in sports held within the framework of the 17th spartakiad of friendly armies of the CIS member states dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
One of the important items on the agenda was the unification of the rules for military sports in the armed forces of the CIS member states. “We must adapt the physical training of servicemen for them to perform their intended tasks. Mass sport is important in this regard. So are military sports. Every state has its own rules, and the task of this meeting is, among other things, to bring disparate rules to a common denominator," Dmitry Shustikov said.
