Andrei Motoľko, Head of the Main Department for Digital Development of the Preliminary Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee, reported significant results in the fight against cybercrime. He stated that last year, the agency's specialists identified and blocked 14,679 online resources used by fraudsters. This systematic effort, aimed at depriving criminals of their tools, has significantly reduced the risks for individuals and organizations in the national segment of the internet, reports a Soyuz.by correspondent.

As Andrei Motolko explained, the most important task is preventing cybercrime. "The Investigative Committee is constantly identifying online resources used in crimes," he noted. All identified fraudulent websites have been blocked from access by users in Belarus, at the Investigative Committee's initiative.

Furthermore, in 2025, a large-scale infrastructure supporting cyber fraud was uncovered. Law enforcement identified 110 scam communities engaged in phishing and deception, as well as approximately 24 money laundering services that laundered criminal proceeds and withdrew stolen funds. As a result of operational measures, 65 such groups and 16 money laundering services were blocked, including their chatbots, accounts, and messaging channels.

Active work was also conducted on social media. Jointly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, over 200 fraudulent Instagram accounts were identified, 98 of which were promptly blocked. The data presented demonstrates the comprehensive approach of Belarusian law enforcement agencies to combating digital crime, which, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, contributed to a nearly 6% reduction in cybercrime in the country last year.
