Belarus, Russia step up fight against transnational crime

Within the framework of his working visit to Belarus, Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin and First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Investigative Committee Oleg Shandarovich held a meeting with participation of Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee Aleksei Volkov, BelTA learnt from the Investigative Committee.

Oleg Shandarovich told the Russian guest about the interaction between investigators and forensic experts, and about the examinations ordered most often for the investigation of different categories of crimes. The participants of the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to continue the exchange of scientific experience and to assimilate the best practices in forensic examinations of both Russia and Belarus in order to increase the effectiveness of cooperation in the fight against transnational crime.
