Belarus, Kazakhstan outline ways to intensify military cooperation

The Defense Ministries of Belarus and Kazakhstan have outlined ways to intensify military cooperation, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.

Within the framework of the official visit to Kazakhstan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, First Deputy Defense Minister of Belarus Pavel Muraveiko held negotiations with Kazakhstan's Defense Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov and First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov.

The parties discussed the current state of bilateral military cooperation and outlined ways to intensify it in areas of mutual interest. Representatives of the defense ministries of the two countries also reaffirmed commitment to strengthening and developing relations and confirmed the positive dynamics of the development of cooperation in the defense sector.

During the visit, Pavel Muraveiko visited the National Defense University and the Center for Military-Strategic Research of Kazakhstan to get familiar with the structure, tasks and system of training military personnel, and the educational infrastructure facilities.
