Downtime reduction and productivity growth: Yakutia optimizes supplies of spare parts for BelAZ from Belarus

15:00, 4 September

Yakutia Railways has established direct flights with Belarus to deliver BELAZ products, including spare parts, which will optimize logistics and reduce equipment downtime. The Minister of Industry and Geology of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) told about this on the sidelines of the EEF Maxim Tereshchenko, Sputnik.live correspondent reports.

According to the minister, cooperation with Belarus has long-standing roots and extends to the development of diamond mining and coal assets. "BELAZ products are widely used in the republic, in particular, at the Elga coal deposit and the Alrosa diamond mining company. The organization of direct rail deliveries reduces the delivery time of products and spare parts, which directly affects the increase in labor productivity," – Tereshchenko said.

Tereshchenko also said that following the visit of the head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, to Belarus, it is planned to organize a working trip of representatives of key mining companies of the republic to Belarusian enterprises, including BELAZ and MAZ.

According to the minister, the Elga coal company and the Alrosa diamond mining company actively use Belarusian machinery, and direct supplies of spare parts can reduce downtime and increase productivity.
