Union State programs to be implemented by end of 2023

Plans are in place to implement all Union State programs by the end of the year, Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Alesya Abramenko said as he presented her report at the Union State Council of Ministers meeting in Moscow, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

The deputy minister spoke about the progress made in the implementation of the Union State programs. “The implementation of the programs helped build the work of the economies of our countries under external pressure, form common rules in the transport and logistics sector, give a new impetus to trade, economic and investment cooperation, harmonize tax and customs legislation, simplify business conditions, prevent a decline in living standards,” Alesya Abramenko said.

According to her, as of today, 94% of the activities have been fully implemented, 22 out of 28 Union State programs have been fulfilled. The rest are in a high degree of readiness and should also be implemented by the end of 2023.

“We expect full implementation of agreements in the energy sector, breakthrough solutions in the common industrial policy, which will make it possible to take into account the national interests of the parties and strengthen the economic sovereignty of the Union State,” she said.
