The dream of space has become a reality thanks to the genius of scientists and the courage of the conquerors of the universe. In honor of this breakthrough, on December 4, the Moscow Museum of Cosmonautics will host a landmark event — the presentation of a large-scale popular science book "Cosmos. The dream of mankind."

The publication was prepared by the Standing Committee of the Union State with the participation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and with the support of leading industry organizations: the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Roscosmos State Corporation, the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center and others. It is addressed to the younger generation, who will continue the great space traditions.

"Space. The Dream of Mankind" is a unique 400–page publication illustrated with more than 1,000 photographs and documents, many of which are being published for the first time, and tells the story of space exploration through the fates of its heroes. The names of theorists Konstantin Tsiolkovsky and Kazimir Semenovich, design geniuses Sergei Korolev and Semyon Kosberg, legendary cosmonauts Yuri Gagarin, Valentina Tereshkova, Peter Klimuk, Svetlana Savitskaya and the first Belarusian woman cosmonaut Marina Vasilevskaya come to life on its pages.

The heroes of the publication are invited to the presentation — Russian and Belarusian cosmonauts, scientists and leaders of the aerospace industry. The purpose of the event is to popularize space science and strengthen cooperation between the scientific community, public organizations and government agencies.

The presentation will take place in one of the main "space" places in the country — the Museum of Cosmonautics, whose history began with the legendary monument to the Conquerors of Space. Today, his collection of over 100,000 exhibits inspires new generations to conquer the heights of the stars.
