Belarus-Russia humanitarian cooperation discussed in Moscow

Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi met with Russian Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova in Moscow on 12 July, BelTA has learned.

"The parties exchanged views on the development of bilateral cooperation in protecting children's rights and reviewed possible humanitarian contribution of Belarus to Russia's programs on rehabilitation and re-socialisation of children and adolescents, assistance to children with disabilities. The parties noted the prospects for organizing, on a reciprocal basis, health improvement holidays for children from Belarus and Russia. Maria Lvova-Belova invited Belarusian specialists to the Russian festival of social theater practitioners Master Forum due in Moscow in December 2023," the diplomatic mission said.

The parties also discussed cooperation between Belarus' National Commission on the Rights of the Child and the Office of the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, including within the framework of the CIS Commission of Commissioners for Children's Rights (ombudsmen).
