A competition has been announced for the best joint scientific work by Belarusian and Siberian scientists within the framework of the V.A. Koptyug Prize

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences have opened the acceptance of applications for the annual Academician Valentin Afanasyevich Koptyug Award for 2026. The prize is awarded for outstanding joint scientific achievements — the best work, discovery or invention, or a series of studies on a single topic carried out within the framework of agreed cooperation programs between the two academies.

The winners will be determined by the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Scientific papers completed or published within the last three years can participate. A team of no more than ten authors is nominated from each work, while Belarus and Russia must be represented by at least two scientists each. The total amount of the award is 500,000 Russian rubles, which are equally divided among all co-authors.
Academicians and corresponding members of two academies, academic councils of scientific institutions and universities, problem councils, as well as state committees, ministries and technical councils of industrial enterprises have the right to nominate candidates. To participate in the competition, you must provide a motivated presentation with a scientific description and justification of the significance of the work, three copies of the publication itself or the discovery materials, as well as brief biographical information for each author.
