According to the president, the trade turnover has decreased this year due to some reasons, and the current level is, obviously, too small for the second largest population center in Siberia and an important industrial hub. “I think that we should be committed to reaching this trade goal of $100 million,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
In January-July 2020, the trade turnover of Belarus and Omsk Oblast made up $35.1 million, including $22.5 million worth of Belarusian export. In 2019, the bilateral trade reached $87.4 million.
Major Belarusian exports to Russia's Omsk Oblast are harvesters, cord materials for tires, furniture, resin acids and products, paints and lacquers, different kinds of wires. Since 2009, the joint enterprise Lidagroprommash has been operational in the Russian region. There is a dealer network of such Belarusian manufacturers as MTZ, Gomselmash, Amkodor, MAZ, Mogilevliftmash, Brestgazoapparat, Atlant, and Molodechnomebel in Omsk Oblast.
