List of government programs for 2021-2025 approved in Belarus

The list of government programs for 2021-2025 has been approved in Belarus by Resolution No.759 of the Council of Ministers of 24 December 2020, which was officially published on the national legal internet portal on 29 December, BelTA learned. The list includes 30 government programs and six special programs.

According to the document, the Agriculture and Food Ministry will be responsible for the government program "Agricultural Business" designed to run in 2021-2025. It includes nine sub-programs. The State Committee on Science and Technology has been put in charge of the innovative development program of Belarus. The Finance Ministry shall supervise the government program "Management of public finances and regulation of the financial market” designed for 2020 and for the period up to 2025 and comprises eight sub-programs.
The Emergencies Ministry will oversee the programs to mitigate the Chernobyl impact and "Response to emergency situations", the Labor and Social Security Ministry – the government programs "Social Security” and "Labor Market and Employment Promotion", the Healthcare Ministry - the program “People's Health and Demographic Security" and the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry - the program "Environmental Protection and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources."
The Forestry Ministry will supervise the government program "Belarusian Forest", the National Academy of Sciences - the programs "Science-intensive technologies and technology" and "Scientific and Innovation Activities of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus". The Sport and Tourism Ministry shall coordinate the program programs "Hospitable Belarus" and "Physical Education and Sport” and the State Committee for Standardization - the Energy Conservation program.
The Transport Ministry shall be in charge of the Transport Sector and Roads of Belarus programs, the Economy Ministry - the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises program, the Education Ministry - the Education and Youth Policy program, the Culture Ministry - the Culture of Belarus program.
The Housing and Utilities Ministry, the Energy Ministry and the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade shall prepare the Comfortable Housing and Enabling Environment program, which will include seven sub-programs. The Communications and Informatization Ministry shall work out the Digital Development of Belarus program, the Architecture and Construction Ministry – the Housing Construction program, the State Property Committee – the Land and Property Relations, Geodesic and Cartographic Activity program, the Information Ministry – the Mass Information and Publishing program. The Defense Ministry shall oversee two government programs - Commemoration of Homeland Defenders and Military Camp Infrastructure Development. The Ministry of Internal Affairs shall supervise the Law Enforcement program, the State Customs Committee – the Infrastructure of Checkpoints on the State Border of the Republic of Belarus program, and the State Border Committee – the Border Security program.
According to the document, the Defense Ministry, the State Security Committee, the National Academy of Sciences, the State Military Industrial Committee and the State Border Committee have been put in charge of special programs.
The resolution comes into force after its official publication.
