On October 8, the Ministry of Health together with the National Press Center held an event "Modern Belarusian Cardiology: early diagnosis, prevention, advanced technologies and minimally invasive treatment methods" at the Russian National Research and Scientific Center "Cardiology". As explained by Andrey Pristrom, Director of the Russian National Research Center for Cardiology, a clear four-tier system of cardiological care has been built in the country. RSPC Cardiology is its pinnacle, where the most difficult cases from all over the republic are sent. This is a serious institution in which science and practical activities are closely intertwined. The Center employs 9 professors, 27 associate professors, an academician, dozens of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons. 63% of the doctors here are specialists of the highest category. This is the concentration of knowledge and skills that allows you to take on seemingly hopeless cases.
The figures speak for themselves: over the past and current years alone, more than 26,000 people have received outpatient care. And although the lion's share of patients are from Minsk and the region, the Brest region, for example, ranks third in terms of treatment. This proves that the center's help is really available to every resident of the country, regardless of their residence permit.
