Lukashenko sends greetings to participants of Uzbek-Belarusian Interparliamentary Forum

The head of state noted the symbolism of choosing the ancient city of Khiva as the venue for the event where centuries-old traditions intertwine with the creative energy of modern age.

“Belarus is committed to expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan in all areas. A landmark event was the recent signing at the highest level of the declaration on establishing strategic partnership relations,” the message reads.

The head of state noted that holding such a representative event clearly confirms the high momentum of bilateral interaction and adds multiple facets to it.

“An open dialogue between the legislators of Belarus and Uzbekistan will make it possible to harmonize the regulatory framework of the two countries and develop initiatives aimed at deepening political, economic, and humanitarian ties,” he stressed.

The president is confident that the agreements reached will open up new horizons for joint work and help establish direct contacts in industry, agriculture, education, healthcare, and tourism.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished all the participants of the forum new ideas and inspiring results. “May your projects serve to further strengthen Belarusian-Uzbek friendship and promote the well-being of our peoples,” the president concluded.
