Belarus is finding its niche in all areas of construction, Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA informs.

“In January-February 2022 we grew by 25% year-on-year. Over this period the export of construction services to Russia was 250% as against last year. We are rapidly penetrating foreign markets. Our presence is significantly expanding, including in Russian regions - Kaluga, Bryansk, Pskov, Tula. These regions are interested in our housing construction services. Here we are not talking about thousands or tens of thousands of square meters of housing. For example, at least 10 houses are to be built over the next five years in Kaluga Oblast. The construction volume is about the same in nearby regions.

The minister said that industrial construction is more relevant than housing construction in more distant regions. “We are finding our niche in absolutely all areas of construction – construction of housing, social facilities, industrial facilities. Housing accounts for half of the total construction volume, social and industrial facilities make up the other half. This represents a big part of exports,” the architecture and construction minister said.
