The St. Petersburg passenger transport company Passazhiravtotrans is prepared to trial the 303Е10 electric bus made by Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark), BelTA learned from the MAZ press service after the presentation of passenger vehicles in St. Petersburg.

"The company expressed readiness to put the electric bus into trial operation, study its running characteristics and look into the opportunity to purchase MAZ electric buses for the transport needs of St. Petersburg," the press service said.

The MAZ 303E10 electric bus has lithium-iron-phosphate batteries with a high unit capacity and long lifespan. "The cruising range is up to 300km, which is on par with the latest models of best European manufacturers. The storage batteries are charged from an autonomous transformer. Charging the battery to full at maximum voltage needs four to six hours," the press service noted.

MAZ arranged a presentation of its vehicles to celebrate the entering into service of another batch of city buses with the capacity of up to 100 passengers. Twenty-seven buses will be used by the Kolpino public transport company on routes connecting St. Petersburg with the suburbs.

Kolpino is also testing the MAZ303 city bus with an Euro-6 diesel engine.
