The Republic of Kalmykia would like to purchase Belarusian lumber, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE).

Representatives of Belarus and Kalmykia took part in a meeting of the Belarus-Kalmykia working group on cooperation. They agreed to hold a series of online seminars on commodity exchange trade in order to introduce the business community of Kalmykia to the Belarusian stock exchange. Particular attention will be paid to trade in products of the agricultural industry and woodworking. The possibility of supplying Belarusian lumber to Kalmykia and Kalmykia's agricultural products to Belarus is under discussion. In addition, cooperation in import substitution holds a lot of promise too. Indeed, BUCE has already accumulated considerable experience in this field and has formed a pool of sellers and buyers from the CIS countries and China.

The parties made plans to increase trade between Belarus and Kalmykia this year, to further deepen cooperation in manufacturing, transport, logistics, roads, science and culture, and outlined specific steps to implement the agreements reached.
